The Platomare is a family run hotel, one of the few left in the area.

It is named after Plato and Maria, who you will often find at the hotel helping out the rest of the family. Plato is the distinguished gentleman at the reception desk in the evenings.  If you want to know anything about the history of Cyprus, he is the man to ask. His wife, Maria, is responsible for the fantastic cactus garden in front of the hotel. 

Plato and Maria have five children. The oldest is Christakis, who is married to Catherine. Their daughter is Marie. Next there is Polly. Her husband is called Andreas and they have three children, Simon, Maria, and Plato. Then there is Adam, who is married to Ksenia. Nicolas, who is married to Maria comes next. They have two children, Elena and Plato. And finally we have Thea, who is married to Yannis. Their two children are Plato and Antonia. You will see various family members around all the time. Jean and Terry, at the reception desk, are honorary family members and valued former guests of ours. Our wonderful cleaners are Georgia, Inga and Natasha.
